During the last 20 years, Captain’s Cove Marina has been developing the land surrounding Ladner’s Deas Slough. The project known as the Marina Garden Estates Project mainly involves developing high-end residential complex and a golf course.

Phase 1 of the residential component was completed in 1987. Phases 2 and 3 followed shortly in 1989. In 2001 the golf course was completed along with phases 4, 5 & 8.

monitored by highly qualified and talented professionals. The primary goal is to preserve the nearby wetland which is home to very valuable fish and wildlife habitat. In 1992, Fraser River Estuary Management Program awarded Captain’s Cove Marina with a development award recognizing the environmentally sustainable design of the Marina Garden Estates Project.

Phases 6 & 7 are underway. 100 lots of single family homes are now being developed. These are predominantly prime lots surrounding the beautiful golf course and overlooking the Marina and the Fraser River. This neighbourhood is tucked in a quiet, secure and secluded community yet only minutes away from Ladner's city centre.
